Located in a property of over two hectares among meadows, centuries-old olive trees and fig trees, in a protected natural area with splendid uncontaminated landscapes, Trulli Pace 1879 offer a truly unique accommodation in tranquility and surrounded by nature, but just a few minutes from all the main attractions of the “valley of the trulli”, the Valle d’Itria.
The outdoor spaces are equipped to be lived to the fullest: a large pergola with seats, dining table, barbecue area, solarium with deckchairs, outdoor jacuzzi and solar shower. Electric bikes are available to guests to explore the quiet nature in the surroundings.

Trulli Pace 1879 offers three double bedrooms, each under a trullo cone: two are located in the main building – where there is also a large living area with kitchenette and the bathroom created in the old oven room – and a separate one with independent access from the courtyard. The structure can accommodate 6 people.

The trulli complex is very old, dating back at least 200 years: the year 1879 in the name comes from an inscription traced on the stone that borders an internal well, where the ancients poured not water, but wine! The entire surrounding area was in fact cultivated with vines and olive trees, and the wine produced was stored inside the well in the living room. The trulli, built entirely of stone, with walls several meters thick, are unique structures with extraordinary sustainability characteristics: cool in summer and warm in winter, with rainwater collection systems in underground stone cisterns.
We wanted to preserve their history and tradition with a conservative renovation also in the choice of traditional materials used, and in the light simplicity of the furnishings. For this reason we have done the opposite of many others: we have chosen to reduce the spaces by restoring the ancient structures and eliminating the constructions added in the most recent decades, bringing the trulli back to their true origins. In the same way, we have not created a modern swimming pool out of context, but we have recovered an ancient stone drinking trough for livestock to create an outdoor mini hydromassage pool to be used in the summer. We wanted to recover every ancient stone, using the oldest and most natural materials, and we believe, like many of our guests, that this can be felt and breathed inside and outside our trulli.
